In addition to his new role, he will remain as Aludium’s Programs and Capex director, a position he has held since 2015. He will continue to report directly to Manuel Ruano, COO of Aludium.

When Allet joined Aludium, he brought his background in the aluminium business and has been driving different projects and initiatives to grow the company. In his new role, Allet and the Cindal team will focus on understanding the needs of Aludium’s customers and our main markets. They will also explore how Aludium can fulfil those ambitions with our existing resources including people, processes and equipment. Where necessary, Allet will develop appropriate investment plans that expand Aludium’s product portfolio and meet customer and market demand.

He studied at the University of Science and Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland, where he obtained a PhD in Physics. He has extensive work experience in the aluminium industry having held positions such as plant manager, casthouse quality manager and director of recycling and raw material quality amongst others.

Aludium is a leader in the manufacture of flat rolled aluminium. The company, which has more than 1,000 employees, uses a highly specialised production process to create high quality aluminium sheets and coils. The products are distributed to global customers in the architectural, energy and insulation, equipment, packaging, and transportation sectors.

Recent investments include state-of-the-art rotary and multi-chamber furnaces. Aludium can produce up to 300,000 tonnes per year of 1xxx, 3xxx, 5xxx, and 8xxx alloys series at its three plants in Alicante and Amorebieta (Spain) and Castelsarrasin (France).
