Winners of the 1st European Die Casting Competition
The winners of the 1st European Die Casting Competition 2022 have been determined, the awards have been presented.
As part of the European Die Casting Competition, co-organised for the first time in 2022 by the VDD (Association of German Die Casting Foundries) and Euroguss, prizes were awarded for the three most important die casting material categories zinc, magnesium and aluminium. There was also an audience award.
Die casters supply many industries
For many decades, die casting has been a successful industrial casting process for the series or mass production of structural parts. Die casting foundries have continuously gained in importance as suppliers to car manufacturers, mechanical and plant engineering and for other industries, such as communication technology, the furniture industry, and the electrical and electronics sectors.
The development of more and more new components in die casting is progressing rapidly. Whether for structural components, components for e-cars or intelligent components for conventional vehicles - everywhere attempts are being made to make use of the excellent possibilities of die casting. In the process, die casters, together with machine manufacturers, alloy suppliers and processors, are pushing the boundaries of the process through constant innovation. It is amazing what innovative solutions and components are created in the process.
