Italpresse Gauss builds giant die casting machine for German carmaker
Italpresse Gauss is set to deliver the first toggle-free two-platen die casting machine with a closing force of 5,700 tonnes. The TF 5700 was already introduced in 2018 and is currently being made for a premium car manufacturer in Germany. With its platen size of 3500 x 3500 mm the machine is a response to the growing demand for ever larger components and structural parts, particularly in the automotive industry.
Hazelett celebrates 100 years of continuous casting
Hazelett Corporation has been designing and manufacturing continuous casting machines for the global metal industries for 100 years. Hazelett technology is used in metal manufacturing processes worldwide to cast aluminium, copper, zinc and lead into metal strip and bar used to create countless products. Today, over 100 Hazelett twin-belt continuous casting machines are operating in 27 countries around the world. The latest casting machine will be shipped to JW Aluminum of Mt. Holly, South Carolina, in August this year.
STAS Inc. purchases technologies from o.d.t. Engineering
Canadian-based STAS Inc., a process equipment supplier for the global aluminium smelting industry, has purchased technologies from o.d.t. Engineering. The Australian company is specialized in the design and supply of casting and material handling equipment and production consumables for aluminium and magnesium casthouses. The company enjoys an enviable reputation for design innovation, efficiency and quality fabrication and is, like STAS, a family-owned company.
