Statkraft enters into power supply contract with Alcoa Norway
Statkraft and Alcoa Norway have entered into a long-term power supply agreement for the 2020 to 2026 period.
The total delivery will be around 3 TWh, with annual deliveries of approximately 440 GWh. The contract will contribute to supply Alcoa’s Norwegian aluminium production with power. “Access to renewable energy at globally competitive prices is key to Alcoa’s focus on climate change and further development in Norway. We are very satisfied that Statkraft now can offer competitively priced contracts with the duration we wanted for our hedging portfolio in Norway, says Kai-Rune Heggland, country manager at Alcoa Norway.
