SGL CFL CE becomes Cobex
Something is afoot in the international carbon and graphite product business: the previous SGL CFL CE business unit of the SGL Group has become a new, stand-alone company. After a change of ownership, the company is now ready to compete on the global stage under the name of Cobex, which stands for Experts in Carbon Solutions.
“The name Cobex is new, but we will continue to operate on the market as a global expert in carbon and graphite products used in the primary aluminium and iron making industry and in other metallurgical smelting processes,” explain Frank Goede and Andrzej Hotlos, the managing directors. “We are combining the best of both worlds: Cobex unites long-held company tradition and the solid expertise of its employees with the flexibility of a medium-sized company. As a globally established brand for carbon and graphite products, Cobex addresses the needs of a target group that demands reliability and top performance. Just as in the past, we will continue to bring the best of carbon and graphite products to the market today. We will still offer products that customers from all segments of industry around the world have put their trust in for decades.”
