New technical managing director at HAI Group
Since 1 September, John van den Nieuwelaar has strengthened the management of Hammerer Aluminum Industries as technical managing director for the extrusion division.
In his function as technical managing director, he is responsible for technical topics in the field of extrusion throughout the group.
Born in the Netherlands, John van den Nieuwelaar was most recently responsible for Norsk Hydro as director Extrusion Process North America in the USA. Previously, he held various management positions at Alcoa and Sapa in Europe. He thus brings extensive experience in management and in the extrusion sector and will support the growth course together with the HAI team.
The HAI Group
Hammerer Aluminium Industries employs 2,000 people. The company was founded in 2007 and has its headquarters in Ranshofen in Upper Austria as well as seven further locations in Germany, Romania and Poland.
For 2022 HAI expects a turnover of EUR950m in the three production areas Casting (foundry), Extrusion and Processing (mechanical further processing). The products of the HAI Group can be found in the construction sector, automotive, transport and electrical engineering as well as mechanical and plant engineering.
