International Aluminium Pressure Die Casting Competition 2020
The GDA Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie, Düsseldorf, is holding for the fourth time the international Aluminium Pressure Die Casting Competition 2020.
Partner in the implementation of the competition is the BDG - Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießereiindustrie e.V. The competition is supported by the Non-Ferrous Metal Federation of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) and the Swiss Aluminium Association (alu.ch). Castings for the competition must reach the GDA by 2 October 2019.
The aluminum die casting competition is a proven platform to demonstrate the high quality of aluminum die casting for many years. Aim of the competition is to increase the interest in working with the versatile material aluminium and to identify further areas of application.
The criteria for judging the entries to the Aluminium Pressure Die Casting Competition 2020 are the suitability of the construction for resource efficient pressure die casting. Foundries can enter as many castings as they wish. The castings must be made of a standard aluminum casting alloy.
The awards show of the best entries will take place on the occasion of the Euroguss Exhibition to be held from 14. - 16. January 2020 in Nuremberg. The winning castings will be exhibited there and at other exhibitions.
