Avic awards aluminium package to thyssenkrupp Aerospace
Avic Shenyang Commercial Aircraft Corp. (SACC) in the northern Chinese city of Shenyang is the long-time supplier of the DASH8 – Q400 fuselage to Bombardier in Canada. The company has awarded thyssenkrupp Aerospace Suzhou with the provision of over 1,000 cut-to-size aluminium plate items in various dimensions. Between 2020 and 2022, thyssenkrupp Aerospace Suzhou’s free-trade-zone facility will be managing material supply and processing nearly 500 tonnes. In June 2019, Bombardier completed the sale of the DASH8 – Q400 to De Havilland Aircraft of Canada.

The members of Aerobal, the organization of aluminium aerosol can manufacturers, were able to improve the number of global deliveries by 6% to around 6.4b units in 2023.
The demands for aluminium tubes and aerosol cans remained stable overall in 2023, despite the challenges the sector has to meet.
